FamilySearch Discontinuation of Microfilm Distribution Services: What it means for you.

On September 1, 2017, FamilySearch will discontinue its microfilm distribution services in the next step of their transition to fully digital historical records. (link to full announcement)  This will greatly affect professional and casual genealogists alike across the world who rely on this service. This is where I step in.

As a professional Genealogist living near Salt Lake City, I have ready access to the Family History Library and the millions of microfilms and books housed there. Instead of ridiculously expensive costs for flight and lodging to SLC, allow me to do the research for you for a fraction of the cost!

With a new way to retrieve needed documents to advance your research, I offer my services straight from the Family History Library. I can get results back to you in a quick and timely manner as opposed to other genealogy services; you would get results in as soon as the next few days from the time of your order. My services include but are not limited to:

- Retrieving a specific record (Birth, Marriage, Death, Probate, etc.)

- Retrieve an index then go back and get the pages that you would like a closer look at.

- Retrieve a specific date range so the you can browse entries, especially in foreign language collections

- Retrieve sample images so you will know what information to expect or what to look for.

- And many more
